My Journey to becoming a therapist
I am passionate about helping others
My reason for training to be a therapist was due to my own experience of how powerful counselling can be when in a personal crisis. My own life went through a very turbulent time some years ago with a variety of life issues happening in a relatively short space of time. I was completely overwhelmed and needed an anchor. My therapy not only enabled me to cope with what was happening at the time but gave me the tools to help me cope with future situations. I also gained a huge amount of self-awareness of my past and how this affects my everyday life, from dealing with stress, my style of resolving conflict, and how I function in relationships.
